Excellence

We’ve been crafting the finest hand-made saddles and equine products since 1981.

Our journey began in 1964 when our founder, Frank Baines, started his apprenticeship at just 15. Under the guidance of a skilled craftsman, he mastered the art of saddle making. After a fire destroyed the factory he worked at, Frank and his wife Jane, a leather machinist, began producing saddles in their kitchen. Their exceptional craftsmanship quickly earned them a reputation as one of the world’s finest saddle makers, leading them to establish a workshop in Walsall, the heart of the leather and saddle-making industry.

Today, Frank’s legacy is carried on by his children, Garry and Victoria, who are now the Directors of Frank Baines Saddlery, continuing the family tradition of excellence.
