Our Awards
We are proud to be an award-winning saddlery, recognised by our industry and peers for both our high quality saddles and leadership in shaping the direction and future of saddle making.
2020: At the beginning of 2020, our awards rolled in. In January we won the Highly Commended Award in the Technology category at BETA International 2020, for Build My Baines, our digital saddle builder that makes customising a saddle easy. In February our newly launched Operetta Dressage saddle won three prestigious awards in the Society of Master Saddlers 2020 National Competition. It won Bruce Emtage Memorial Plate for Best Overall Entry out beating 129 other entries entries, The English Astride Saddle Award, and the Neil McCarraher Trophy for Most Attractive and Commercially Viable Saddle.
2019: In 2019, six of our saddle makers were finalists and winners in The Best Made Saddle Competition, held by the Worshipful Company of Saddlers. Frank was previously a judge for this prestigious competition for over 20 years. Frank Baines Saddlery has won the Best New Product Award at the British Equestrian Trade Association Show and additionally, at the Spoga Horse in Germany, we won the European Export Awards, putting us firmly on the international saddlery stage.
We are proud members of the Society of Master Saddlers where Frank was a past president. In 1990, Frank was presented with Freedom of the City of London and in 1992 he was made a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Saddlers with his son, Garry Baines, gaining the same accolade in 2014, followed by Victoria in 2020. Frank was also proudly commissioned to make a saddle for the Princess Royal. These are some of our awards we are most proud to share with you.
